MARILYN LAUGESEN


Marilyn's paintings are primarily of nature, weather and her surroundings. She works with oils on canvas and board but also encaustic, collographs, monoprints and collage.
Born in the UK, Marilyn Laugesen emigrated to Canada where she lived for 29 years, studying and working with professional artists. During this time she received private tuition for a number of years from Hubert Haisoch, M.F.A and Lecturer, Painting and Printmaking, Washington State University. Marilyn worked for ten years from her studio at the Williams Mill Art Centre, Glen Williams, Ontario.
Marilyn returned to her native England and is now is a member of West Walls Artists. She works from her studio at 18 Fisher Street Galleries, Studio 9, Carlisle.
Her work has been represented by galleries in Canada and The USA and she now mainly exhibits in Cumbria.
